COVID-19 Location Updates [Update: June 22nd, 2020]

This page is meant to be a resource for the greater yacht charter industry and our customers as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic together. Countries across the globe have imposed travel restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus. YachtLife remains a resource for you to keep you abreast of the latest yacht industry updates. Caribbean & Bahamas

Cancun Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended.
Cartagena Ban on entry to travellers. City under lockdown. Lockdown may continue until at least mid June.
Nassau Phased reopening: June 8th – Domestic travel permitted; June 15th – International Private Vessal Travel permitted; July 1st – International Travel permitted.
Punta Cana Closure of all air, land and sea borders from 19 March. Restrictions on non-essential movement. Cultural and sporting activities prohibited; large gatherings restricted; restaurants and bars closed; shops likely to be open at limited hours and public transport limited.
St Barts Charters operational, but restricted to 10 guests and only around St. Barts.
St Martin As of March 18, all business and services are closed, except those providing essential services. Restaurants can open only for delivery and take-out services.
Turks & Caicos Tourism suspended. Hopes for opening in the beginning of July.
Vallarta Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended.
Virgin Islands (British) It is confirmed that for the month of June entry will be limited to citizens and residents only and confined to Beef Island Airport. BVI set to not open to tourists until the end of the summer (Sept 1st).
Virgin Islands (US) As of June 1st, reopen to tourists. Marinas are open. Charters operational.

Eastern Mediterranean

Athens As of May 28th, Greece is officially open to charters; charters have resumed.
Bodrum Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Dubrovnik As of May 11th, the Croatian government has lifted its 14 day quarantine period for all incoming yachts; charters have resumed.
Hvar As of May 11th, the Croatian government has lifted its 14 day quarantine period for all incoming yachts; charters have resumed.
Istanbul Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Montenegro As of May 19th, Montenegro is reopen for business; charters have resumed.
Mykonos As of May 28th, Greece is officially open to charters; charters have resumed.

Indian Ocean

Maldives Country in lockdwon. Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended. As of May 28th, lockdown extended as COVID-19 cases cross 1500.
Phuket Thailand has banned entry for all non-resident foreigners amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Middle East

Abu Dhabi Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended.
Dubai Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended.

North America

Chicago Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Fort Lauderdale Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Los Cabos Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended.
Marina Del Rey Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Miami Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Naples Marinas are open. Charters operational.
New York Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Newport Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Newport Beach Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Palm Beach Marinas are open. Charters operational.
San Diego Marinas are open. Charters operational.
The Hamptons Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Vancouver Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended.
Washington Marinas are open. Charters operational.

South Pacific Ocean

Tahiti Tourism suspended. Charters currently also suspended.

Western Mediterranean

Algarve Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Amalfi Coast Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Ibiza Marinas are open. Charters operational. Overseas visitors are required to self-quarantine for 14 days. No travel to Italy.
Mallorca Marinas are open. Charters operational. Overseas visitors are required to self-quarantine for 14 days. No travel to Italy.
Marbella Marinas are open. Charters operational. Overseas visitors are required to self-quarantine for 14 days. No travel to Italy.
Portofino Marinas are open. Charters operational.
Sardinia Marinas are open. Charters operational.
South of France Marinas are open. Charters operational. Overseas visitors are required to self-quarantine for 14 days. France in favor of reopening the interior EU borders from June 15 without a 14-day quarantine.
