Portugal’s southern region is a European paradise known for world-class golf courses and perhaps some of the best coastal cruising in the Med thanks to the dramatic cliffs and caves. Make sure to depart early morning for a view of the most famous Bengali Cave, and then cruise to the Ria Formosa, where you can visit this unique lagoon and home to the largest seahorse population in the world. By night, you can enjoy incredible seafood restaurants or even a night at the Vilamoura casino.

Board your yacht at Vilamoura Marina and sail off to Sagres (3-Hour Cruise). Dock at Cape St. Vincent to enjoy your day on the water in this surfer’s paradise – Sagres which has one of the best surf beaches in Portugal. Also, take some time to soak in the local history of this typical Portuguese fishing village – from the Roman ruins to the fortresses built by ancient kings. At night, sail to Lagos (2-Hour Cruise) to dine at Dos Artistas.

1-Hour Cruise

Wake up in the charming area of the Algarve, Lagos, and enjoy the day exploring the imposing rugged seaside cliffs and beaches. Take the tender to Ponta da Piedade to explore the unique grottos – accessed only by boat or kayak. By night, dock in Portimão and dine at one of the Michelin Starred restaurants at Vila Vita

Bengali Cave

São Rafael Beach

2-Hour Cruise

Anchor-up and continue making your way past the reddish-golden Algarve cliffs with their turquoise waters and sandy beaches. Take the tender to visit the picture perfect Bengali cave (1-Hour Cruise) with its sunlit opening. Stop at São Rafael beach (1-Hour Cruise) and enjoy the rest of the evening on the water – kayak to the grottos, or take out the water toys. For fine dining, sail to Ocean, a unique restaurant along the Algarve Coast.

As you continue east, with a scenic view of the Algarve’s golden beaches and imposing cliffs, you may choose to take the tender and explore the beaches, swim with dolphins at Dolphin Driven, or simply relax in the yacht’s jacuzzi. Dock at Vilamoura for the rest of the day and enjoy an evening in luxury on the golf courses or try your luck in the Cassino.

Falesia Beach

Ria Formosa Natural Park

2-Hour Cruise

Welcome to Faro and the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Take the tender and spend the day navigating through this unique coastal lagoon. This protected area is a paradise for birdwatching and seeing emblematic species such as flamingos, seahorses and the Portuguese Water Dog. For a traditional Portuguese lunch make your way to Faz Gostos.

Day 6

Ria Formosa Natural Park

Tavira Island

1-Hour Cruise

Spend the day in the tranquility of the Natural Park, cruising to the rest of the 9 islands. Sail to Armona Island known for its deserted white sand beaches, and Tavira Island which is considered to be one of the best beaches in the Algarve. Also, make sure to visit Tavira’s Praia do Barril, an anchor cemetery with over 100 rusting anchors in the sand, and to have lunch at A Chaminé.

4-Hour Cruise

After breakfast aboard, take your tender ashore to explore this historic city, and sail over to the Spanish Island Isla Canela (1-Hour Cruise) – a small piece of paradise with dunes, golf courses and sandy beaches. On your cruise back to Vilamoura (3-Hour Cruise), stop for lunch at Tavira’s octopus restaurant, Casa do Polvo Tasquinha, before disembarking..
